Greetings,
Well you knew this was going to happen sooner or later. It happen sooner and know it happens again - later than sooner.
Anyways as you might know the school is started this time it's not vocational school or the good old secondary high, but the ever so international HAMK the Lepaa unit. Yes I'm following on the very footsteps of - Damn! Couldn't find my copy of "Band of Brothers" check it out to get that reference.
Anyways because of school, the project I started working on summer and well. I don't know how to say this guys, but I got a life.
Gosh darn that didn't sound right. I got a life.
*shivers*
There's just something wrong there.
Anyways I'm taking a break for now. I don't really know how long it will be, but let's hope that it wont be too long. I'll try my best to talk about Adventure Duo sometime and continue on the exiting adventures of Mr. Quain Laroche, the angstiest French you ever heard about and all the other things. I don't really know what will happen on video front, because those actually take much longer do too. Hopefully I will finish the Tintin time sometime soon.
Damn! I got to do that needlessly complicated thing I told you I was going to do. When on earth is that going to happen? Honestly I don't know. You see I'm lazy when it comes to things like that. I'll try to do it before the year is over.
See you next time and go on reading my review of the Wicked City. Seriously what's up with you guys and that?!
Asahamana's manor is place for me and to the league of my vigilant viewers and readers. In Asahamana's manor you'll find Silly stories and Asahamana's video series. Yes, I'll know about the ads and yes I know it takes up the class of a place called Asahamana's manor and yes it makes me look like a big prostitute. Thank you for notcing these things.

September
Yeah, it's been a while.
I took the last month off because well during the summer I just couldn't get myself to write that much in here so I just decided to take the August off.
The reason why I'm posting this here now instead of the first day is simple: I'm back in school so I don't have that much time anymore and when I get back home I so tired I just don't want to do anything extra.
But now I'm trying to get back to this blog.
So
First of Quain Laroche#8-7
That review I was talking about in July - Serenity I think.
So that's all for now have a nice day and a happy autumn!

Quain Laroche#7
It's
evening. I wake up. Someone knocks on the door.
I
'ear a voice, a woman's voice. She tells me to get up and come to
dinner. I say thanks and do as she says.
I
go downstairs. Cafe is empty. Jacque is there too and leads me into
the back room. I smell food. Good warm food. The back room 'as a big
table and some chairs around it. There are some other people there
too. Jacque introduces me to them.
There
is 'e's wife Bianca, who is about the same age as Jacque. There is
they're waitress Jeanne, she is about my age, rather pretty. And then
there is an old man called mr. Chastain, e's musician and play's
violin and piano also 'el's around the bar. They also 'ave an older
woman in upstairs called Edith, she is Bianca's mother.
I
sat down. I'm close to Jacque. We start with a pray. 'aven't been
praying for a while. Not since The Maginot. Feels weird.
After
the pray. Jacque's wife opens the pan. It's soup. We each take to our
bowls, some bread and wine too. We start eating. I taste the soup. I
burn my mouth and tongue. God it's hot. 'aven't 'ad soup since. I
don't even remember when. I start eating the bread. It's nice and
soft, they say it's day old but I don't care.
Other's
are talking. I eat. It's been too long since the last time I 'ad a
nice warm meal. I'm done. Other's are amazed. They're still eating
and talking. But I'm done. I light a cigarette. Jacque says I should
wait others till they're finished. I put it down.
After
an 'our they're done. Bianca and Jeanne clean the table. They bring
in some coffee and now I can smoke. They talk. About the war and
such. I'm smoking so is Jacque and Mr. Chastain.
After
the coffee we leave. Women clean the table, Mr. Chastain goes to 'e's
room and Jacque takes me to Cafe to talk about my new job. I pay with
my work. I say that I can't work around the Boche. Jacque doesn't
care. Says it's either that or then I'll go to streets. 'e also tells
that 'e didn't like this idea of Rene's since now the Boche may
become suspicous and all. I don't care. After that Jacque let's me go
back to my room.
I
go to bed and fall a sleep.
It's
morning. I wake up. Someone is knocking on the door. I 'ear a womans
voice. It's not Jeanne's, it's Bianca's. The breakfest is ready. I
dress up and wash myself. I'm still a bit tired, but I still go down.
They're 'aving breakfest. Bread and wine. I go to table. Sitting next
to Jacque once again.
Jacque
says the pray and then we eat. I break my bread into the wine. It's
good. Bianca wonders if I 'ave any other clothes besides the ones I'm
wearing I say no. Bianca says that I need new clothes. I try to
resist, but she doesn't listen. My clothes are too dirty to wear in
they're cafe.
After
the breakfest Bianca takes me to 'er and Jacque's bedroom. Jacque 'as
some clothes. They're clean and nice but too big for me. Bianca
doesn't listen. I dress up. I see myself from a mirror. I look like a
fool. All the clothes are too big. I say that Bianca agrees but
that's no good.
I
go back downstairs. They're opening. Jacque sees my clothes and
smiles so does Jeanne and Mr. Chastain. I can feel 'ow they're
struggling not to laugh. I feel uncomfortable. I wonder about the
Boche. I know what will 'appen, but they don't care. They put me to
clean some tables.
They
open. First customers come in. Good. Only peasants. They go to bar
order some wine and start drinking. Just winos, who else would come
in at this 'our?
Morning
goes on. It's almost noon. Yet no Boche. But they'll come I know. I'm
cleaning tables and 'elping around the kitchen. Nothing else. Mr.
Chastain plays piano and Jeanne serves the customers. I'm just
cleaning the tables and 'elping in kitchen.
Noon.
First Boche of the day come in. It's lunch time for them. They order
some food and wine. At first I was cleaning the tables, but then I
was told to go 'elp Bianca at the kitchen. It's 'ot in there and it
smells good. Smells like food. I wask when do we eat. Bianca says
after once there are fewer customers.
I'm
starting feel bad.
Like
one of those whores.
Do
they feel bad?
It's
afternoon. Lunch time went well. I was at the kitchen the whole time.
We got to eat once there wasn't that many customers. Mr. Chastain got
to eat first. Then me. Then Jacque. Then Jeanne and then Bianca.
It
was soup.
Like
yesterday.
I
liked it.
Now
Boche are coming in. Mostly officers who got early. Jacque and Jeanne
start serving them. I'm still in the kitchen.
So
far so good.
Maybe
I don't 'ave to got and serve those Boche after all.
I
tought wrong.
Jacque
needs some 'elp.
Jeanne
went to bathroom.
Jacque
tells me go and give a young looking captain a glass of wine. I do
so.
I
take the glass of wine.
Everything
goes fine.
I'm
very close to the captain.
Then
I start 'earing it.
Boche.
They're
voice.
I
can't stand it.
Damn
them!
Everything
rushes in. My 'atred. Oh I 'ate them. So much!
Why can't they all just die! That's because I'm 'ere. 'ere to kill them all. Every single last solitary one of those assholes!
Why can't they all just die! That's because I'm 'ere. 'ere to kill them all. Every single last solitary one of those assholes!
I
'ate them.
I
started yelling. Screaming. Cursing.
I
started to threaten them.
I
told them I was 'ere to kill them.
I
took an empty chair and I was going to attack them.
Then
everything went black.
The
End

Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin Parte III The Concludive Part
So now there is nothing left than tell my final thoughts about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin, but wait!
You already know my opinion about the show!
And that is:
Mee, meh.
Really that's my opinion.
Even though I feel somewhat nostalgic for the show and I do like Samurais and so on, this show never did anything to me. I don't know maybe I was too old or something, I really don't know.
Or then it was all the small things like minor plot holes like the whole "Why they're not trying to kill that bear if they live in Japan?" and "There is a pack of hundreds upon hundreds of dogs and no-one is trying to stop them?" and my favorite plot hole:" Who the hell is Wilson?"
In case you don't know the dog that got Iga and Koga-clans to stop fighting was a collie named Wilson. He was never before mentioned in the anime and first off I thought it was just cut off from the Legendary version but no! In the original anime there is no Wilson before that! The thing is that Wilson has grudge against the leader of the Koga-clan, for killing he's mate and they're kid. Wilson then tries to kill off the son of the Koga-clan's leader, but Cross intervenes, because she is a stupid bitch!
Anyway my problem is that in the original anime the reason for Wilson's grudge was barely mentioned and it really didn't make sense to me and I had to looked it up, I think that it was explained better in the original manga, but I don't know, because I never got bothered to read it.
I don't really have that much to say about this series, than to me it's just meh, which to me is some what weird, because, well this is Finland's #1 anime! This is the anime that old school Finnish otakus remember fondly of, this is the anime that even those, who don't like anime in Finland have at least seen! And all I can say is just meh?
Does not compute!
Hell, way back when in a one Finnish animecon, they had the creator of this show coming there and there was a petition up online trying to get this guy a limo drive there, because he was "God" and "Genius". Still don't believe me big this stupid thing is in Finland? In Finnish animecons they have a Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin musical! Seriously! a Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin musicals!?
I swear to God I didn't make that up.
But then again Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin did win a Shonen manga award for the best original manga way back when in -87. I don't know maybe I'm just a cynical old man who can't enjoy anything, I don't know. But still it just annoys me that all I can say about this is just meh, over and over again.
At least with NGE I can say that it was a stupid non-sensical show, which on I wasted too much time trying my very best to understand it.
But yeah, as strange as it may sound, all I can say about this show is that at least to me it just meh. As much as it annoys me. Well at least it was simple than that stupid NGE

So should I be a Youtube partner?
Greetings,
As some of you may know I have a Youtube channel, where I upload things from time to time. Now after long last I had this promise on me that I'm not going to be a Youtube partner, for a simple reason: my videos ain't that good.
I know, I know that's somewhat stupid promise, because well 99% rule. But I've realized that one can make money out of it, not a whole lot, but hey! It's still money so why not?
But since I can't make the decision on my own, I'm asking for you're guys opinion:
So the question is should I be a Youtube partner?
In case you don't know my Youtube channel here's the link:

Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin Parte II The Show
I think you all are wondering, what is this show about in the first place. You know it has something to do with dogs right?
Well, yeah. It has to do with dogs and humans - but mainly dogs.
Ok, so the plot is that in Japan or Canada, I'm sorry I'm not sure, you see in that Legendary version it was said that this whole thing took place in Canada, that makes sense right, oh wait I haven't tell you anything yet.
Here's the plot in the nutshell.
It's Moby Dick!
I'm not even kidding, it's Moby Dick!
- With bears instead of whales.
Way way back when in some time there was an old man named Gohei who was a hunter and was hunting a bear with he's trusty old dog who was Gin's grandfather. Gohei missed a shot and ever since the bear he was hunting could only see with a one eye and couldn't hibernate this lead that the Bear became aggressive, smart, vicious and really really big, which actually happens if bears don't hibernate, no shit that's what they do!
Anyways the bear was known ever since as Akakabuto and started to terrorize the nearby skiing resort. And now we can go back to the whole place issue. You see while I haven't been in Japan and I don't really like to go there I've understood that Japan is a rather small place with a ton of people on it, but I don't really know if there is any bears so I can only make the guess that if there ever was a crazy bear terrorizing a skiing resort Japanese government would send the army there to napalm the whole forest to kill that bear, but in here they only send some hunters who then refuse to kill the bear because it's too dangerous 'cause that makes sense right?
Now if this would take place in Canada it would make more sense, you see while I never been in Canada either I know that it's a big place with less people living there than say Japan, now if a bear would be terrorizing a Canadian skiing resort it would make more sense that they wouldn't be doing so much, because Canada is a big place and a bear is well, rather small when you come to think about it besides it would have died for natural causes. Keep in mind though that I'm not insulting Canadians here, ok? I'm just saying that Canada is a big place and it's surprisingly easy to loose a bear in such a place.
Then again they eat rice and so for, so hell if I know where this takes place! Let's just say that this takes place in Jacapanada and move on.
So Akakabuto is killing people and terrorizing the local skiing resort and only one crazy man is willing to hunt down the said bear, but he has a new dog Ricky (martin) who dies trying to rescue Gin, it's a long story watch the anime and thus Gin wows revenge on Akakabuto and then Gohei takes Gin away to train him so he would make him the greatest bear hunting dog some day. And then the Gin's owner Daisuke decides to hunt down that same bear. Also Gin's dad is presumed death, but only lost he's memory and thus is leading an army of dogs trying to kill Akakabuto who is also gathering an army of bears and fortifying the mountains, I'm so not even kidding. Gin eventually joins he's dad's side who doesn't remember Gin, but sends him away with some other dogs to gather an army to kill Akakabuto and he's army which they do and the old man get's he's revenge like Ahab.
So that's basically the plot. It's a long show with twists and so on, but that's basically it. There is also references on old samurai stories and characters like there is a dog called Musashi like the legendary samurai sword master Musashi, there is Iga and Koga-clans who are in a war with each other and jump on trees and now we know have the reason why the Koga clan in Ninja Scroll was so bad. The show also relies heavily on samurai virtues and bushido code.
So yeah that's the show. The technicals? Well the show looks good for it's time I know that the manga had the dogs doing all kinds of martial art movements and saying they're names and so on but that's not in the show. The animation is good, even though some fight scenes rely heavily on still images and speed lines much like DB&DBZ, it's really tedious and boring from time to time. Oh, and the intro to this show is awesome! Check it out!
The dub? Well like I said the original Finnish dub is hit and miss, mostly miss. The Japanese dub is solid I guess? I really don't know, 'cause I didn't pay much of attention to it not to mention I really don't know that much about Japanese voice acting so there you go. The English dub? Well I was surprised to hear that this show hasn't been brought in US. or other English speaking nations, but I do know that an English fandub exists so, yeah.
Well that's that stay tuned for the exiting finale.

Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin Parte I: The Introductory Part
Been a long time, but here it's my two cents on Finland's #1 anime
Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin
And you're in luck, you see I'm you're #1 guy to tell you about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin because for the longest time I've knew about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin just as much as you did. You see way back when I was just a wee lad all I knew about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin was only it's name and it was pretty odd since I was surrounded by people who knew what it was and we're always talking how awesome it was, but I took comfort in knowing that if I didn't know anything about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin then my two sister's knew just as much as I did.
Untill came that day.
That one day.
The day that was filled with saddness and grieve
Yes, that one day
That one day -
TO RULE THEM ALL!!!!!
I'm sorry, that was too easy for me. Incase you get that reference, well I'm sorry too you're too old for the internet.
Hey! That reminds me does any of you remember that awesome song: "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard"? God that song is so awesome, he he Gollum you are right:" Those stupid fat Hobbits" indeed.
Hey! That reminds me does any of you remember that awesome song: "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard"? God that song is so awesome, he he Gollum you are right:" Those stupid fat Hobbits" indeed.
But that one day was indeed filled with great sadness and grieve, you see it was that day when my sister's knew what Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin was, since they had seen it school for reasons unknwon, yet none of them knows how to operate heavy machinery. Now that's a reference that's not so old!
But still I knew not and there for I was royally pissed!
I only found out what Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin was on a one birthday party, when the guys were watching it and they we're like awesome and all that while I was like ee meh. Needless to say they made peanut butter jelly out of me. I swear that's the last one!

It still took me a while till I eventually saw the whole damn series from a four old vhs tapes my sister bought from a second hand shop, which I still have. So I saw the legendary version and by legendary I mean that the Finnish dub they had, which was ee meh. I talked about the story of Golden voice in one of my earliest post so you know that it wasn't one of they're best. And for reasons unknown the legendary version is know on DVD's, reasons are unknown because I for one always thought that everyone stopped caring about the legendary version at the same moment the series became available on a DVD box set with the original Japanese dub and Finnish subtitles and that those who wanted to see the legendary version would have to go and see it from Youtube or other sources from the internet or just to watch it from those VHS tapes but hey, what do I know?
Back to the legendary version you see the whole Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin series lasted four 26 episodes that lasted for 26 minutes so the original running time was 13 hours know the legendary version had four tapes each lasting for 75 minutes meaning that the legendary version had a running time of 5 hours so as you can guess it had to be edited in a rather hilarious way which I will not spoil for you, because I'm me.
Anyway back to Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin it's based upon a manga by the same name made by Yoshiro Takahashi, because he really liked dogs and yes before you guys come and tell me about Weed and Orion I have no plans for them, simply because if my feelings for Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin are mee eh, then at least I still can you use the good old Nostalgia card and think about Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin with warm feelings, but for Orion and Weed I have no feelings and I can't use the good old Nostalgia card for them, because I simply don't care about them.
And because this article was rather long and I haven't written anything else here I just do the lazy man option and cut this in to several parts so consider this as Parte I The Introduction.

Midsummer
Time has come to celebrate yet another heather then christian holiday here in Finland.
Sun is shining, it's warm and nice birds are singing and everything is real horrorshow.
Nothing else to say, but decided to write something just for the hell of it.
What else has come by?
Oh yes E 3 has ended and everyone is ever so furious about Microsoft's newest console: X-box one.
Do I care?
Not really, since I've been playing with a dying console ever since I was just a wee lad and we had Windows 95 and Windows 98 and I never really got why people hated Windows 95 so much. I always thought that Windows 98 was bad 'cause it was crushing way more than good old Windows 95.
Currently I'm on summer vacation or an unemployed (I'll find out next month, let's all pray that I'm on summer vacation)
And to answer everyone's question: No I'm not drunk or high as I'm writing this, hell I'm not even naked or anything I just don't care that much right now, my brothers and droogs.

Quain Laroche#6
I
ask:” What do you mean?”
”One
can never be too careful” Rene replies
”You
mean, you don't trust Jacques?”
”Of
course I trust, you just never know”
”What
about Francois and Auguste?”
”That's
none of you're concern. Just watch out for Jacques”
I
ask where I'am. Rene is surprised and asks back:” 'ow can it be
that you don't know where you are?” I say that I was walking from
Paris to Colmar 'till I thought I 'ad walked enough. Rene says that
I'm at 'e's and 'e's brother place and smiles. I say that I meant the
town. Rene says that we are in Senes ”That's 30 kilometers away
from Paris”
I
can't believe it. I thought I 'ad walked for weeks and that I was
near Colmar for certain. Instead I was so very close Paris. Rene
asks when I'm going back to Colmar I answer when there is no more
Boche.
Rene
then offers me the dinner that I missed from my nap. It's delicious, but
cold, but it's so good. It's been forever since I 'ad a proper meal.
Rene watches me as I eat 'e is once again surprised by me. I care
none and continue my eating. After the dinner I go to sleep on the
sofa again.
Morning.
I
wake up I could get used to this. Sofa is so comfortable and it's so
dry and warm in 'ere.
I
'ave my morning smoke, it's always good. Then my breakfast of wine
and bread.
Then
I go out.
It's
another pretty day.
I
walk outside.
It's
so peaceful and calm one could easily forget the Boche but then I
see them.
I
walk quickly away.
I
walk outside of the village.
I'm
'ungry.
I
don't know what to eat.
I
could go to the farmhouse, but I don't know. Something tells me that
I should stay away from that place for awhile.
I
don't know why, just a hunch I guess.
I
decide to go to Jacque's. 'opefully 'e can give me something to eat.
I
go in.
There
is only a few of Boche. I'm still disgusted.
I
find Jacques. 'e's glad to see me. I ask for something to eat. 'e
tells me to go outside and knock to the back door.
I
do so.
Some
woman comes and gives me some bread and cheese and some wine.
I
eat them.
They're
good. Bread is so soft even though it's a couple days old cheese is
only a small piece, but it's cheese so it's good. Wine is also good,
nothing too good, but it does it's job.
I
go and walk.
I
walked so much. Every day I do that.
Why?
To
pass time I suppose.
It's
afternoon. Time to go back to Rene's place.
I
knock the door Rene's brother opens it and let's me in. Rene is not
'ome yet.
I
sit on the sofa and fall a sleep.
Rene
wakes me up 'e smiles and says that 'e talked to Jacques and I can
move in 'e's place.
We
go to Jacque's.
The
whole place is filled with Boche. Singing and dancing and drinking.
I'm
disgusted.
We
meet Jacques who says that I can live in a small room in upstairs.
Rene leaves us and Jacques takes me upstairs.
The
room is indeed small and 'as nothing. Just a bed and that's all.
Jacques says that I'm to 'el 'im in Cafe so that Boche won't become
suspicious and to pay my living. I agree but I don't like it. 'e goes
on saying that I can rest to night and that 'e'll send someone to get
me to dinner.
Rene
leaves. I take off my jacket and go to bed. I stair at the ceiling.
It's warm and dry, yet I can feel the wind coming in. 'opefully the
roof doesn't leak.
I
wonder, why I was given this room?
It
doesn't look that bad.
Maybe
it was too small for Boche.
I
don't know. I try to sleep and I start to snore.

June
Greetings,
Once again month has changed.
Here in Finland it's been summer ever since May started. Temperatures are well over the usual, sun is shining, birds are sinning and I'm stuck in my own crummy place practicing for that exam I'm having, and as usual since it's summer I can't watch TV or play with my computer because that dammed sun is is shining straight to my TV and computer screen. Thus making it impossible for me to see anything.
Not to mention that it's always too warm for me in summers anyway so I'm having the time of my life!
Now that I got that out of the way I'm just going to say that this months Quain Laroche is hopefully coming on time and if I learned anything from last month it's that I'm not going to publish adventures of Mr. Laroche twice a month because it's such a pain in the good sitter.
Anyway what's up for June?
First off Quain Laroche#6 that's coming on time.
Second off review of Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin Finland's number one anime and manga series, that's going to be a thrill.
Third off a review series of all the Star Wreck movies, if my internet connection allows it.
Fourth off a review of Casablanca one of my all time favorite movies, why? Because it's always nice to go back to Casablanca.
So that's all for now, have a good summer you all!

Quain Laroche#5
Morning.
I wake up. I 'ad the most wonderful dream, in it I was sleeping
indoors.
What's
this?
It's dry and warm.
It's dry and warm.
Where
am I?
Of course, it wasn't just a dream.
Of course, it wasn't just a dream.
I
get up, it's time for breakfast and morning smoke.
I
light a cigarette, it feels good to smoke indoors for a change.
So,
very – good.
After
the smoke I go to kitchen. Time for breakfast. I find some bread and
wine, finally I can 'ave a real breakfast.
I
take the wine and the bread to the kitchen table.
I
open the bottle and pour the wine in a bowl.
Then
I put the bread in the wine.
Then
I eat.
It's
good.
It's
been too long since I last ate bread.
After
the breakfast I go outside. Rene and 'e's brother 'ave already left
for work.
I
think.
I
don't know we're they work or are they working.
Only
thing that matters is that they 'ate Boche
Like
me.
I
walk in the village.
I
still don't know where I am, or where Colmair is.
There
is always next time.
I
don't know where I go, I just walk.
And
smoke.
It's
a nice day today.
Soon
I'll be living with Jacque. 'e's a good man. Bit nervous, but that's
fine.
Don't
know much about Jacque. 'e 'as a cafe and that's about it.
Still
'e knows Boche, that's the downside. If I'm to live with 'im I must
come to use them. That doesn't feel right.
Still
I'm going to live with a man who serves them by day and by night 'e
tries to kill them.
Don't
know if I can trust 'im.
What
if 'e rats us out to them? What if 'e rats me out to them?
Wait.
If
Jacque is going to rat us out, why 'asn't 'e done that all ready?
What is 'e waiting?
I must ask from Rene if 'e thinks that Jacque is going to rat us out to Boche.
What is 'e waiting?
I must ask from Rene if 'e thinks that Jacque is going to rat us out to Boche.
But
what if 'e 'as?
And Boche are simply just waiting.
And Boche are simply just waiting.
But
why?
I
must ask this from Rene too.
It's
afternoon. I return to Rene's place. I knock on the door 'e's brother
opens it and let's me in.
I
ask about Rene.
'e's
out.
'e's
brother asks me if I ever clean myself. I say no. I live in the
streets in a constant fear of Boche, therefore I don't 'ave that many
chances to take a bath or anything.
Auguste
says that, that wasn't what 'e meant, but 'e goes to make the bathtub
ready for me.
I
sit down in the sofa.
It's
so soft.
I
fall asleep.
Rene
wakes me up.
'e
smiles.
'e
says that the bath is ready.
I
go and take the bath.
I
take off my clothes, and go in the water.
It's
wet.
Feels
good.
Bit
cold, but that's fine.
I
don't find a soap but that's fine.
Once
again in a long long time I'm clean.
I
put my clothes on and leave.
I
go to Rene and ask about Jacque, 'e says that 'e was busy and didn't
make 'ave time to. 'e goes on saying that 'e's still going to and
that I can stay 'ere 'till then.
That's
what I'll do then.
Also
ask 'im about Jacque and wheter 'e's planning on giving us in for the
Boche.
Rene
says that that's for me to find out.

Star Wreck: In The Pirkinning
You may remember my review of Iron Sky in, which I talked about Star Wreck and how I thought it was a superior film than Iron Sky.
Well -
It's -
It's sorta superior.
It's a guilty pleasure much like the Devilman OVA's.
Way back when, when I was just a wee lad I was a huge fan of sci-fi, mostly Star Wars and Starship Troopers. I hadn't seen much I know, which is way Star Wreck In The Pirkinning has a special place in my heart.
You see in Finland we have movies too, mostly dramas and our movies are well, really really dark I think this comic from Scandinavia And The World says it all: http://satwcomic.com/funny-movie
But that wasn't the reason why I was staying away from Finnish cinema, when I was a lad. No the reason was that most of the movies I saw we're from 50's and they sucked!
Anyways I grown out of it and all, so that really isn't a problem anymore.
Back to Star Wreck.
Way back when, Star Wreck In The Pirkinning was a big thing, the first Finnish sci-fi movie ever! With only a budget of 10 000€ that was something.
Star Wreck movies we're created in early 90's by Samuli Torssonen who iss a big fan of Star Trek, I guess, I really don't know, and Star Wreck In The Pirkinning was seventh movie in the series, you can see them all in Energia Production's Youtube page if you wish.
Star Wreck In The Pirkinning is a direct sequel to Star Wreck V Lost Contact and it continues the story. After Captain Pirk, Info the Android and Mr. Dwarf ensured that the first contact was made with the aliens. After that the three decide to stay behind so that time line wouldn't get all screwed up, Captain Pirk learns that the international space program has been cancelled and thus we finally have learned why there is no space program in Terra Nova! Seriously there had to be a reason! So Captain Pirk decides that it's up to them to save the day and ensure that Earth can defend itself against vicious aliens.
How they decide to do this? Why, taking conquering the planet OF COURSE! I couldn't resist.
Needless to say they succeed on it and thus all is good until they discover a wormhole near Pluto and decide to take over that universe as well OF COURSE! heh he you see the thing is that I never get to use that meme so - yeah - don't worry I stop using it.
And thus Captain Pirk ends up fighting against Babylon 5 spoof.
So why I like this movie?
Well, simply because these movies seemed to be made with a ton of heart, to me these are like Mr. Rolfe's early movies, you just got to respect the fact that Samuli Torssonen took couple of he's friends and went on making bunch of silly stupid Star Trek Spoof films.
Like I said before, I never seen the original Star Trek series because it came at a bad time to me, when it actually came. But I've been watching ton of Star Trek Next Generation and I've been catching up with Star Trek movies and it's all thanks to this silly spoof film!
Yes, this is the movie that got me interested in Star Trek, even though this lead to the fact that my first Star Trek film I saw was Star Trek IX so - yeah.
This movie really is just a dumb popcorn flick, with ton of references to real Star Trek movies and series plus bunch of inside jokes - mostly for Finns, but hey Iron Sky really wasn't that good either so, yeah.
The bad?
The acting is over the top and goofy and some of the jokes are kinda bad and just really more of miss than hit.
But like I said this movie really means a lot of mean, because this was my first Star Trek experience and but needless to say it's just ok and I only recommend to guys like me or just as some sort of weird extreme experience.

Quain Laroche#4
We're
back.
It's
pouring.
It's
night.
Jacque's
smoking nervously. I thought 'e would be sleeping right now. Now that
work is done.
Rene
tells us to go to bed, 'e and 'e's brother will finish the job. 'e
reminds me that we are going to 'ave that talk tomorrow.
Damn
this rain.
I
'ate rain!
I'm
trying to find shelter.
Damn
this rain.
Looking
for a shelter.
Damn
this rain.
Shelter?
I think, I found one!
I think, I found one!
Not
much, just another safe corner with some planks on top.
I
go in and fall asleep.
Morning.
The
rain 'as stopped. I get up.
I
Come out of my shelter and light a cigarette.
Ahhh...
morning smoke.
Sun
is up. It's going to be a nice day. Atleast it's not raining anymore.
I'm
'ungry.
I
go to that farmhouse again.
The
whores are up and working. Must be careful then.
I
walk around the farmhouse. I find another place to climb up.
Appels!
I
go to them. I pick those that are fallen. I eat them. Then I go to
the basement to 'ave some wine. Wine is still good.
I
get out and light another cigarette. It feels good.
Still
some time to waste before I meet Rene.
I
go back in.
I
sit down in a chair.
It
feels nice, I've nearly forgotten 'ow good it is to sit down in a
real chair. Still there is something so wrong with this place.
I
must ask it from Rene.
It's
afternoon. I go back to village.
Rene
gave me 'e's address. Lives in a apartment building. Second floor.
I
go in, I knock on Rene's door, 'e's brother opens the door and let's
me in. It's a nice place, clean, warm, comfortable. Makes me want to
'ave a place like this.
On
the second thought, that means that I 'ave to come in for Boche.
Rene's
brother brings me a glass of wine. I look at it, smell it. Seems
like a fine glass of wine. I drink it. Tastes fine.
Rene
arrives, I stand up and we shake 'ands 'e seems relaxed.
That's
odd.
I'm
nervous.
What
was it that 'e wanted to talk me?
Something about killing Boche, I suppose.
Something about killing Boche, I suppose.
Rene
tells me to sit down.
I
sit.
Sofa
is so comfortable.
Feels
so good.
Rene
starts talking. 'e asks 'ow I feel, I say fine and ask 'ow 'e? 'e
says fine, all though 'e asks why I'm so scruffy looking and dirty.
I
tell 'im the truth. 'e is shocked, I ask why and 'e says that it just
so dangerous. I answer that it really isn't. 'e goes on blabbering
about Boche and other 'omeless people and the weather, I agree with
the weather but other problems are just nothing to worry about. 'e
continues with that I should go on to live with someone, like Jacque.
I
say no.
I
couldn't stand being with Boche for so long. Rene is surprised. I go
on saying that I 'ate them so much and I just want to kill them all,
every last fucking one of them!
Rene
is still shocked, but get's 'imself together and say's that I should
live with Jacque, 'e will make all the arragements, I don't 'ave to
worry a thing.
I
try to decline, but that is not an option.
Rene
then goes on to talk about the real matter.
”My
'atered for the Boche.” As 'e puts it.
The
real issue is the one with the fact that I want to kill them too
eagerly. I ask why is that a problem? 'e goes on saying that for
every Boche, that we kill the French will pay with they're lives. I
say, that I don't care what 'appens to them.
They're
nothing, to me.
Rene
goes on saying that 'e would like that when this war is over and
France is free again, that there will be someone else to celebrate
with them. And tells me that next time we meet Boche, I need to get
they're uniforms before, I 'ave my way with them.
I
agree.
I
ask Rene about the farmhouse. 'e's curious. 'e didn't know. I ask did
Boche do that? 'e says they might 'ave, Lord knows what they did
during the war. 'e asks me did I serve in the war. I say yes. 'e asks
where? Maginot, I answer. Rene is shocked. 'e says that 'e is sorry.
I
ask, why?
”Maginot
was 'ell” 'e answers I say that I do not remember anything from
that. 'e's curious. I say that I remember the Maginot, but not the
battle. My last memory is when Paris was occupied. 'e's still shocked
and starts to explain that Boche never attacked Maginot. I say that
they did. Rene says that they did it, but after they 'ad invaded
France.
WHAT?
Rene
goes and get's a glass of wine for me too then 'e sits and goes on:”
Same thing as last time they, came through Belgium and 'olland”
I
can't believe it!
Are
the French the only one who 'ave any chance against Boche?
I
drink my wine.
I'm
shocked.
I'm
speechless.
Those
bastards! Much like last time they didn't even try!
I'm
furious.
Rene
says that I can go now and that 'e will talk to Jacque about the
arragements. Rene will inform me when I can move in with Jacque.
I
thank 'im and leave.

Farewell to Ray Harryhausen
Greetings,
Yesterday 7.5 was another sad day for the world of cinema, one of the biggest contributors to the world of special effects, Ray Harryhausen passed away.
Much like Roger Ebert I wasn't privileged to know Mr. Harryhausen in person and unlike Mr. Ebert my encounters with he's work are virtually non-existent. I did saw Jason and the Argonauts once and I liked it, especially the stop motion puppetry.
And that was Mr. Harryhausen's specialty: Stop motion puppetry. I don't consider myself as a movie maker or anything like that but I did once do an animated movie with my Lego's, this movie has long since been lost so I can't upload it anywhere or share it with you, needless to say it wasn't that good. But I can safely say that animation through stop motion wasn't easy, except for Mr. Harryhausen.
Mr. Harryhausen has influenced so many movie makers from Steven Spielberg to Terry Gilliam and Jason and the Argonauts is Tom Hanks's favorite movie of all time, as it is one of many favorites of James Rolfe, I seen it only once, but I can say that it was a good movie.
On this sad day we can safely say that Harryhausen was acclaimed in he's life time winning many awards including Gordon E. Sawyer award and has a star on Hollywood walk of fame. Despite Mr. Harryhausen's death he's legacy will live on in the movies he made and in modern movies with digital special effects - for better and the worse.

There can be only one
Some of you might wonder what the title means and this can be because two things:
1. You haven't seen The Highlander! Shame on you! Go see Highlander! I keep hearing that it's really really good, even though I haven't seen it.
2. Operation about my Youtube accounts.
As some of you might know before I started this I used to run a weekly "review"/experimental comedy show. I reviewed books and then went to movies.
It wasn't really as successful as I thought it would be mainly, because I'm too hasty and because it really wasn't that good. The reason for it not being really all that good was that I reviewed books which already was a rotten idea to begin with. Why? Well for a number of reasons:
1. No-one cares about books!
2. There are too many of them!
3. Books are way way too long.
4. Books are not a visual media.
Not saying that one can't do a good review show about books just saying that I failed. The main reason why I failed so much in this was that since there was no-one reviewing books, aside from show in TGWTG which name I can't remember, but that was a different format than what I was doing, I decided to rip off Linkara.
Now I really have no problem with Linkara. I like AT4W mainly because of it's storyline and Linkara's knowledge about pop culture. The problem is that when it comes down to jokes and being funny - yeah. To me Linkara is just ok and if it wasn't, because of the storyline I wouldn't care to watch he's show, but anyways back to me.
So I went on to rip off Linkara's style on my book review show and the problems just kept piling up. I really didn't like them and I felt like they were half-finished and really really not good.
And then my computer went kaboom, got fixed but too bad I already had lost the touch and I was playing GTA games, went to Estonia, then I rediscovered Battle for Westnoth again and became really really lazy and once again I lost my touch.
Then I wanted to other things I did myself two more Youtube channels these were Finnish meaning that I spoke my native tongue, these were Gremlin in Rehab Productions a pun from Brad Jones's Stoned Gremlin productions on which I was suppose to go on with the experimental stuff the first one being a series of Cinema Snob parodies which I later decided to end after one episode mainly because I though that wasn't fair and it was too much of ripping off. The second one was AsahamanaVlogs you see in Finland Vlogs have became a really big thing so much that everyone is doing them so I decided to give it a shot and see if I liked them, I didn't.
Now back to "There can be only one" this basically means that I'm going to delete Gremlin in Rehab productions and AsahamanaVlogs channels and put the contents of Gremlin in Rehab productions into my main channel Asahamana. The second channel AsahamanaVlogs will be removed compeletly, because I didn't like doing those things of course once I announce this I will see if people think otherwise and then comply.
But there will also be changes on my main channel Asahamana. You see I'm you're average geek: I'm awkward, silent, shy, timid and horribly insecure person, I can be for days without talking to other people aside myself and I have no friends. So because of those reasons I'm going to hide all my videos on my main channel and put the links in here. I was thinking about removing them completly but to be honest the videos aren't really that bad so yeah.
This change will take about 3 months when this has been posted so - yeah.

May
Sorry for the lack of Mr. Laroche last month, life my arch nemesis interfered with this again. Also the Dragon Ball Evolution one was a doozy.
Well now that I have apologized for - what? 400th time? I will continue on listing what's going to happen this month:
First of Quain Laroche#5
Second of Star Wreck in the Pirkinning one of my biggest guilty pleasures, hopefully it will be done.
Third of Quain Laroche#6 some catching up from the last month.
Fourth of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin review, review of hands down the biggest anime/manga series here in Finland, this is going to be swell!
On video front something will come up - hopefully with more Tintin.
Hopefully I will get everything done. At the time I started to read to entrance examination, so who knows -maybe my arch nemesis will strike again. Hopefully not.

Anime Reviews: Devilman II
After the shock that was Wicked City, I once again lost all hope on my sister's anime collection. But there was one more left and that was Devilman II.
And before I even started to watch it I already knew that this one was going to be somewhat better than Wicked City.
And before I even started to watch it I already knew that this one was going to be somewhat better than Wicked City.
I mean look at it, it's not even trying!
So then I did watch it and I have to be honest here: I loved it!
Devilman II was simply awesome the end.
But now you're asking what the hell is Devilman? Or hell Devilman II, to that matter?
Well,
Devilman II is a sequel to the first Devilman OVA based upon a manga series, which bases upon a anime that bases upon Go Nagai's previous manga series, yeah it's complicated. But luckily it's not a canon sequel to a non canon sequel of it's original show.
And to those few who are asking about Devilman 2004 movie, I heard about it, but unfortunately I haven't seen it and knowing that it's one of the worst movies ever made I'm not planning to see it.
But who's work is Devilman?
Well it's none other's than a famous mangaka Go Nagai, the man behind such classics as: Violence Jack (which I never seen) and Mazinger Z (which I also have never seen). Also Hideaki Anno claimed that Devilman was a influence for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Knowing Evangelion I must say that I can see that but alas Evangelion wasn't nearly as awesome as Devilman OVA's.

So what is Devilman II about:
It's about this kid called Akira who is possessed by Amon, a great and powerful demon. With the power of Amon Akira has the ability to turn into Devilman the only known natural predator of Devils that are the only known predators to man!
It's about this kid called Akira who is possessed by Amon, a great and powerful demon. With the power of Amon Akira has the ability to turn into Devilman the only known natural predator of Devils that are the only known predators to man!
The series is somewhat similar to the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy in the sense that in the first Devilman Akira get he's powers. Now that he is the only one protecting humanity from other demons they want to take him out, much like Batman and Joker in the Dark Knight.
I know that might have made this sound way better than it actually is. There is some talk about humans and demons and is it right to use Devilman to protect the humanity, because the demons are the only creatures that eat humans, but that is quickly forgotten.
What follows is nothing else than some good old fashion Devilman vs. Demon action and my God is it glorious!
So yeah, Devilman II is nothing else than a dime dozen violent schlock anime, but you know what? I don't care! This could have easily been ruined by making this like Wicked City and thank God they didn't do that!
So that concludes my anime review series from this month, next year we'll have it's sequel!
That will hopefully be the canon sequel!

Dragonball Evolution
What's the point?
Really, what's the point?
I mean it, what's the point?
What is to point for me to review Dragon Ball Evolution?
Seriously, over these past few years Dragon Ball Evolution has garnered somewhat of a reputation, much like C&C 4 and incase you don't know the reputation that Dragon Ball Evolution has, here is an opinion of a hardcore Dragon Ball fan:
BETRAYAL! BETRAYAL! THIS MOVIE SUCKS!
What's that? You want hear an opinion of C&C 4 from a hardcore C&C fan? Why that is impossible because C&C 4 doesn't exist! And since it doesn't exist it's pretty hard for me to give you an opinion of a hardcore C&C fan about a C&C game that doesn't exist.
But here is the thing, I wouldn't be writing this review about Dragon Ball Evolution if I thought that movie is a "Betrayal". You see I don't consider Dragon Ball Evolution to be a "betrayal" at all, in all honesty I think that Dragon Ball Evolution is -
- underrated.
And by saying that I just signed my own death warrant. But allow me to explain and by explaining I mean that I'm going to tell you my history with Dragon Ball.
It was early the 2000 and we had just got our very first digibox and with that opened a whole new world for us, me and my sister started channel surfing and we found SubTv and the very first show that we ever saw on that channel with our own very eyes was: Dragon Ball Z it was part of the Frieza Saga, Frieza and Goku were fighting and Goku had just finished charging up the spirit bomb. From that second me and my sister were hooked.
But remember when I told you that it sucks being into anime in Finland?
You see in Finland they only showed one episode of DBZ a week.
I'm not even kidding.
And here is the thing DBZ is not a show that you watch only a episode a week, I wish!
DBZ is a show you watch 5 episodes a day, because it literally takes five episodes til something happens in that show! And for reasons unknown there is only two DBZ movies released in Finland and they are only on VHS tapes, that's right! In Finland we don't have, DVD releases of DBZ we don't even have box sets of any kind. Sure there is the internet, but my point still stands! In Finland DBZ is just as big thing as it is in everywhere else and no DVD releases?
Seriously?
But anyways, despite the fact that they only showed a episode of DBZ a week me and my sisters still liked it. My other sister eventually grew out of it but that's bound to happen. I still feel nostalgic for the show mainly because of Videl, Chi-Chi and Bulma, I know I'm so going to hell.
But back then I also liked DBZ because it was awesome and really that's the only word worthy enough to describe DBZ: It was awesome, sure it was ridiculous to the point of being downright stupid and silly and I don't consider it as one of the best anime series ever, simply because there is bound to be better stuff than DBZ.
But still at the core DBZ was surprisingly good and heartwarming show. Sure it was stupid and most of the characters aside from Goku were pretty useless, but at least I still cared for all of them, even Yamcha and Krillin.
Oh and I also know about Dragon Ball Z abridged and I love it!
Now I didn't hear about Dragon Ball Evolution 'till I saw Jesuotaku's, Todd in the Shadow's, Rollo T's and Y Ruler of Time's review of Avatar the Last Airbender and it got me interested on the crossover that they did a year before that and thus I went and saw the Dragon Ball Evolution review and then I eventually saw Blockbuster Buster's review of it, because in my book BB is cool.
I eventually did find a DVD copy of Dragon Ball Evolution and incase you want to know what average Finnish DBZ fan thinks about the movie it's pretty much considered to be a BETRAYAL! too.
So why do I like this movie?
Because in all honesty I think it's decent.
In my opinion Dragon Ball Evolution captured the feel of the show and in my book that is pretty important for a movie adaptation.
Does that mean that Dragon Ball Evolution is perfect? Of course not!
Even though I believe that it captured the feel of Dragon Ball that's not enough. Like the whole Goku going to high school and the stupidity that is that Goku is bullied because he is a fighter even though Chi Chi is a fighter too but no-one bullies her, yet then again Chi Chi is so very lovely.
Oh and the fact that half of the characters are missing is pretty stupid too, but I think that I have an answer for it: You see the original Dragon Ball even though it's a lot shorter than Dragon Ball Z still has 153 episodes and 519 chapters in it's manga series you still have a lot to do in a one movie. Not to mention the studio probably wanted to play it safe meaning that they wanted to make it more for not DB fans - oh and FYI here I seen DB anime series too - but here's the thing they didn't count on the fact that most of the Dragon Ball fans are otakus, mainly because other people went on from Dragon Ball to like other anime series and otakus are the kind of people that you don't wanna mess with!
So that and the fact that the Dragon Ball is pretty long TV series, I actually think that it would have been a lot smarter move to simply make an independent live action Dragon Ball movie for the fans, like they did in Japan with all of those DBZ anime movies, but alas that wasn't the way they decided to go. Instead they rolled with the more difficult option, to sum up the whole 153 episode anime series into a one live action movie with most of the characters removed, this and all lead to the Dragon Ball movie we got.
And before I comment on the casting of Goku, there are a couple of gripes I have with this movie:
Number 3
Piccolo looks stupid! Seriously what the hell!
Number 2
The Kamehameha wave heals, because they didn't want to have Korin and the senzu beans.
Number 1
Ok, this is a really stupid thing and I can't believe that even to this day in all the two reviews I've seen about this movie and including the comments, no-one has brought this up. In order for them to do those energy wave attacks they use bending!
As in "Avatar the Last Airbender bending"! It's not even something small they downright say it in the middle of the movie! That is not how it works! It works through concentration and controlling one's Ki it has nothing do with bending!
Now that I got the bending bullshit out of the way let's now talk about the casting of Justin Chatwin as Goku. This caused a lot of hate among the Dragon Ball fans mainly because "Goku is Asian and there for must be portrayed by an Asian actor!"
To me that claim that Goku must be portrayed by an Asian actor is bullshit!
Because Justin Chatwin is a great actor!
Seriously when I was watching this movie, all I was seeing was Goku, I didn't care that Goku wasn't doing anything that Goku was suppose to be doing, because the movie was way too short for that! But Justin Chatwin really was Goku to me.
Now I'll admit this movie really isn't that good, but in all honesty it really isn't that bad either. All the problems just come from the fact that the studio just wanted to play it safe in order to get as much money as possible. It was just like Star Trek 2009 in that aspect. But where as the 2009 Star Trek movie succeeded Dragon Ball Evolution failed, simply because of it's fans and here is the difference between these movies:
Star Trek 2009 is a Star Trek movie and Star Trek as a franchise, has been around since 1966 and has become a household name, when I was a kid I had barely seen a full episode of Star Trek, but I still knew who Spock was and because Star Trek has been around since -66 it has ton of fans and movies and so on people know what Star Trek is and in the case of Star Trek 2009 the reason why it did so well wasn't just, because of the fans Star Trek it was, because people knew that Star Trek is a quality franchise so the movies will be most likely enjoyable. Not to mention that deep in they're hearts people love space adventure films and that's what Star Trek 2009 is.
Dragon Ball has been around ever since 1984 as a manga series and then as an anime series and even though Dragon Ball has fans that are just as loyal to it all over the globe, the problem is that these are the fans who consider every single last change to the source material as a betrayal and consider Dragon Ball to be up there with Shakespeare. Meaning that even though Star Trek has it's hardcore fans who call BETRAYAL over the 2009 movie there still are some Star Trek fans who just enjoy that movie, because much like DBZ Star Trek 2009 is just awesome. Not to mention the fact that to you're average Joe, Dragon Ball is really weird because it's Japanese and let's face it Asian culture is weird! I mean we are talking about the culture that gave to the world of porn genres like: Tentacle porn and Bukkake.
I'm not saying that Star Trek isn't weird, but the thing is that Star Trek takes place in space and in the future no less, so it has every single reason to be weird. Where as Dragon Ball no-one knows when it takes place and despite the fact the Earth in Dragon Ball doesn't have a space program, for some unknown reason, they still have dogs walking and living they're daily lives just like normal people. Then there is the humor of Dragon Ball and Master Roshi. Again not saying that Star Trek doesn't have humor and perverts, but it's still more down to earth than Dragon Ball is.
So making Dragon Ball movie that wasn't that much for the fans as it was more for everybody was pretty stupid, but seriously what they were suppose to do? Make live action adaptation of Dragon Ball which includes every single thing from the anime series? Do you have any idea how long that would have been? Even if you we're going to make a simple trilogy or a film series out of Dragon Ball it would, still last longer than people would like to spend in a movie theatre! Not to mention people have lives outside they're obsessions! So making a faithful adaptation of Dragon Ball that has a total running time of six months would have been impossible.
So yeah, despite the fact that the Dragon Ball Evolution got many, many things wrong I still though that it was enjoyable and fun and like I said it captured the feel of the anime, there are many big budget movies out there that don't do that *cough* The Lord Of The Rings *cough* and like the Sage said, we finally are in that place and time that all the old otakus wished we been since the early 90's that: someone would do something like this, not saying that it was that great, but God dammit it was they're first try!
And considering how poorly Dragon Ball Evolution did at the box office it was most likely they're last.
Oh and one more thing!
What was up with Yamcha in this one? He looked nothing like in the anime! Hell the only character who should have been played by an Asian actor and they got it completely wrong!
